TURTLE WATCHING
A wonderful eco-tour to see the Caretta Caretta Loggerhead Turtles in their natural habitat as they lay their eggs on the protected beaches.* Only months July, Aug, Sept The guide will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation reception at the agreed time and take you to Serra Negra beach. The transfer will take 20 minutes, during which our guide will give you the most interesting information about the sea turtles, along with a few rules to respect in order to avoid disturbing the sea turtles during this wonderful process

HORSE RIDING

ZIPLINE

After the pick up at your hotel you will be taken to the south-east coast of the Island, where the Zipline it’s based.
Once there, you will bebriefed by the crew who will explain you everything you need to know about the excursion. After that, you will get you personal equipment that includes helmet, harness and pulley.

You will be taken to the Serra Negra mountain with an off-road track and from there.. Let’s walk! 🙂
10-15 minutes are needed to reach the top of the mountain, during the walk you will also have a couple of places to stop and to rest enjoying the breathtaking view of the south part of the island.

QUAD TOUR
Being a lover of sand, mud? Quad bike is your best choice to know the island.
The ATVs, commonly called quads are 4 wheels bikes specifically designed for sand, stone and off-road tracks. Under the control of our experienced guides you will have the opportunity to visit the most uncontaminated places of Sal, spots that in most of case are only reachable by quad.

BUGGY TOUR 4 hours
If you are a lover of extreme adventures, you must try one of the most popular adventures on the island. One of the best radical experiences and at the same time getting to know some spots on the island.
The tour starts with the pick up at your hotel after which you will be taken to the main office where you will need to show your driving licence and get your gear for the adventure.
Once ready, the tour will start with few kilometers on the road to reach the Murdeira Bay, where the off-road will start.
The first stop will be in Palmeira, the village of the fisherman on which you can see the typical houses of Cape Verde.
Then, you will proceed to the north-west coast of the island to reach Buracona, where you can see the natural swimming pool and the famous blue eye.
The next stop will be in Terra Boa, on the north-center of the island, to experience the “Mirage” effect in the middle of the desert: you will se water where actually there is not.
After Terra Boa, the tour will continue towards the north-east coast to reach the top of the volcano of Pedra de Lume, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the salt-flats built into the crater.
The last stop will be in Shark Bay, where you will have the chance to get in the water and see the Sharks in their natural habitat, before to head back to Santa Maria.

BUGGY NIGHT EXPERIENCE:
Meet your guide at the reception of your hotel or at our base before starting your buggy night adventure. Relax as you go to the main office to show proof of a valid driving license before getting geared up. Start your journey through the beautiful sand dunes that surround Kite Beach, the favorite white sandy beach of the kite-surfers. Explore the green Oasis of Palha Verde with a short stop where you can admire the starry sky before returning to Santa Maria to finish in the vivid city centre for a (non-alcoholic) cocktail.
